This is a active maintain ramen tier list for North Carolina Research Triangle Park (RTP) region, including Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh, Cary.
Please note that, this tier list uses North Carolina ramen as its standard, not authentic Japanese ramen.
Rating standard: having a proper noodle, a proper soup, a proper chashu. It isn’t that hard, is it?

| S | Yatai by Mag, Shinmai, Daijobu*1, M Pocha*3 |
| A | Miso Ramen Bar, Koi Ramen, Noodle Blvd, M Kokko |
| B | Pirate Captain, Kinya Ramen |
| C | Tonbo Ramen (closed), Masa Sushi & Ramen, Urban Noodle |
| D | Spicy 9 |
| E1 | |
| E2 | |
| E3 | |
| F | Dashi*2 |
*1. Daijobu’s rating is based on the customized tonkotsu ramen, please asked for tonkotsu ramen replacing the noodle with tantanmen, and 2.5 minutes noodle cook time (kata). If you have the OG tonkotsu ramen, the rating will be C, due to the noodle is too soft (zundare).
*2. Although I put Dashi at the F tier, I still encourage you to splash your money into the pond to get a sense of the worst ramen on earth. Yes, I even created E1, E2, and E3 to show how bad it is, but after tasting it, Dashi will set your lowest bar for ramen forever.
*3. It’s graded as Nagasaki Champon (ちゃんぽん).
