Zotero 的功能

Zotero 是一個自由開源的文獻管理軟體，能夠幫助你好好的管理需要的文獻 (諸如作者、條目名稱、日期等) 以及其附件(PDF文本、網頁擷取等)。

從瀏覽器網頁直接存檔

a. 在瀏覽器安裝 Zotero Connectors 外掛

點開網頁後會自動判斷你是哪個瀏覽器，點下安裝/Install就會引導安裝外掛到瀏覽器中

b. 記得電腦要打開 Zotero

c. 在想要存檔的網頁按下瀏覽器的快捷按鈕

舉例而言，如果想要在 IEEEXplore 上存下論文的話，先點開網頁，等待讀取完畢後，點下快捷按鈕(紅色圓圈圈起處)存檔：

請注意！務必、務必、務必要在網頁讀取完成後再按下按鈕。因為要先讓外掛判斷網頁的型態 (是否有支援的 parser、是否可以下載 PDF 等)，如果還沒有判斷完成就按下去有機會得到不完整的條目。

存檔完成後，就可以在 Zotero 裡面看到存好的條目，點開條目左邊的箭頭可以查看其儲存的附件，以這個例子來說，共存了網頁存檔以及PDF文本兩個附件。右邊則可以看到關於這個條目的 metadata。

在 Dropbox/GoogleDrive 或其他網路硬碟同步 Zotero 資料庫

不要同步資料庫 (*.sqlite)
只要同步 storage 資料夾 (ln -s ~/Zotero/storage ~/Dropbox/Zotero/storage)

Better BibTex 外掛

裝這個外掛主要有兩個用途：

修正 citation key format 為 google scholar style
修正 conference paper 的 booktitle 欄位沒有辦法輸出

修正 Citation key format 為 Google Scholar Style：
- Edit -> Preference -> Better BibTex
- Citation key format 改為： [auth:lower][year][veryshorttitle:lower]
- New version of Better BibTex: auth.lower + year + veryshorttitle.lower

清洗 BibTex 欄位

透過 Zotero 存下來的條目欄位很多，但是有時候不需要那麼完整 (e.g. inproceedings 只要 author / booktitle / year，但不用 page, note, abstraction, shorttitle…etc)，可以透過 script 來清洗這些欄位。
